Last weekend, we took a little trip to Las Vegas. We went down for the Mountain West Conference Championship. A couple months ago we bought tickets to the championship game, with the hopes that BYU would make it there. We had hoped that we would get to Vegas in time to find tickets to the semi-final game, but weren't able to. So, we enjoyed the game from the comforts of our hotel room, which was probably better for Mason since he really needed some time to stretch out and play after being in the car for so long.
Saturday morning, we meandered the Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood (some of my faves). Mason really enjoyed all the people. He's so alert, and has a good time doing just about anything as long as he can see what's going on.
As you can see, it was hard to get a good picture of Mason. He either wanted the camera, or wanted to see everything else that was going on.
Here's Mason stretching out in the back seat before the game. You can't really tell from the pic, but his little tongue is wrapped around that ring...kinda funny.
The first time we took him to a BYU basketball game was in December for Mike's birthday. He hadn't been out of the house much then, so the all the noise really scared him.
This time, we didn't even have to plug his ears. He acted like a seasoned pro. He even slept through part of it. Our seats were pretty good, but we were unfortunately seated right in front of some very jovial SDSU fans. They had plenty to drink, and a comment for everything. John kindly referred to them as "very social." They kept calling Mason "Jimmer part 2." Which was kind of funny the first couple of times, but after about the 100th time, a drink sloshed in my hair, and a spilled beer on my arm, I was more than ready for the game to be over and to be rid of them.
