Working at Sears definitely has its perks. You know when the best sale will be on any given item, you get to see clearance mark downs before anyone else, plus employee discount. Most days it's not too bad putting out new freight, dressing mannequins, or creating new displays and getting paid for it. The downside you might ask? --Holidays-- Retail thrives on holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, MLK Day, Valentine's, President's Day...the list goes on. People generally look for the best deal, and retail companies look for any reason to give one --regardless of how insignificant the actual holiday may be. Unfortunately for me, it's those fake holidays that hurt the worst. While everyone else is enjoying an extra day off of work and school, I'm at Sears cleaning up after Mexicans and soccer moms, both of which drag their 8 unruly children behind them in search of the last $2.99 top in their size. I don't know why it seems ok to let your kids play tag, and hide and go seek all over the store while you're rummaging the racks. Are you so tired of cleaning up after them at home that you enjoy watching them wreak havoc on someone else's stuff and not have to pick up after them? Or maybe you're too distracted by the mess you're making yourself when you pick up an item and it's either the wrong size, color, or price and you decide it's much easier to toss it on the floor rather than place it back on the rack you just pulled it from.
In either case, it is my plea that if you pick it up and decide you don't want it, please put it back where you found it. It will save me and my coworkers from getting more unwanted gray hair, and a few choice words under our breath.
hahahah I always put stuff back! Promise!
ReplyDeleteNot fun! I don't work in any stores, but I can't stand people who let their kids run wild, and are disrespectful like that. I feel bad for all you hard working retail workers! You work hard for your money!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures by the way! I can't believe how big he is getting!
